Sustainability at the IDB At the IDB, we know that investing in and protecting our natural and social capital improves the quality of life for Latin America and the Caribbean. From financing clean energy and wastewater infrastructure to avoiding emissions by providing people with reliable low-carbon transportation or integrating biodiversity values into a road or dam project, we have made sustainability integral to our work.
