EXPERTS SHOW THE UK LAGS BEHIND THE REST OF EUROPE WHEN IT COMES TO RECYCLING Research by a major recycling bins retailer has RECYCLING ROADMAP found that the UK is lagging behind the rest of Europe when it comes to recycling rates on the continent. In comparison, official figures show that the UK manages to recycle just 39% of its MSW (Municipal Solid Waste). Overall, the UK is almost 25% behind leaders Denmark, suggesting much still needs to be done to reduce the amount of rubbish sent to landfill.
