Zoning Code Implementation A modern code for a 21st-century city SUSTAINABLE FEATURES СМХ-2.5 Solar panels and wind turbines are allowed by right in residential districts; urban agriculture is allowed in most places. New zoning district for neighborhood commercial corridors allows greater density and requires pedestrian- friendly design. SMARTER PARKING IRMX NEW ZONING CODE ADOPTED New industrial-residential Front-loaded parking prohibited in rowhouse districts; lower requirements for multifamily; able to trade in parking spaces for bike parking and car share zoning permits artisanal manufacturing, live/work spaces, and other clean industries. MORE MIXED USE Multiuse development is encouraged, bringing residents closer to jobs and making neighborhoods more livable and walkable.
