Colorado EECapacity Collaborative We Connect Communities to the Environment Where They Live and Empower Them to Make a Difference Over 30 Denver Metro organizations are working to: Identify and share relevant ideas, practices and resources our Develop a network to enhance the capacity of environmental education collective impact Expand relationships and collaborations Stewardship and Conservation And More! 60% of adults say the main reason to protect the environment is a health concern. Connection to Nature Youth Leadership Outdoor experiences increases activity levels, helping the one in three American kids who are obese get fit. 2 Education Access and Equity Environmental Justice Environment-based education is an educational equalizer, improving reading, science achievement, and critical thinking skills across ethnic and racial groups. Civic Engagement Healthy Communities Participation in environmental education has positive impacts on students' motivation and civic engagement."
