John Wayne's MOST ICONIC In Wayne's first starring role (“The Big Trail") he used an Enfield Pattern 1853 and Colt 1851 Navy. Wayne's most iconic weapon was the Colt Single Action Army revolver. His other favorite was the Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine, which is featured prominently in "Stagecoach."He also uses both of these weapons anachronistically in the film "Rio Lobo." Wayne only carried the popular Colt M1911A1 in two films: "The Fighting Seabees" and "Cast a Giant Shadow." Playing the role of a detective, Wayne takes down gangsters with a MAC-10 in “McQ." McQ also uses a Browning Hi-Power, Smith & Wesson Model 10 and Colt Python. For "McLintock!" Wayne's weapon of choice was a 12-gauge double barrel shotgun.
