INTERESTING STATS ABOUT NFL Past year has seen a significant increase in NFL valuation because of a 3.6% rise in league revenue in 2012. The average team saw their revenue rise from $286 million per team in 2012, up from $276 million in 2011 The Dallas Cowboys saw a big jump in revenue thanks to a 25-year naming rights deal with AT&T that will net the franchise $500 million. The NFL has an operating margin of 15.4%, is far above any other major league sport The NFL has just $42 million in operating income from $305 million in revenue. The NBA had a shortened 2011-12 season due to the lockout, and they posted a 9.7% margin with $11.9 million in operating income on $123 million in revenue. In the 2010-11 season, which was a complete season, the NFB posted just a 4.4% margin. The NHL posted an operating margin of 7.4% during the 2011-12 season.
