Accreditation is: An assurance of quality education based on a set of nationally endorsed standards When a school is accredited, it means that they meet high standards set by a specific accrediting body made up of board members that include faculty from various accredited schools. Schools must go through a rigorous and lengthy review process before they are approved. Why Accreditation Matters to You: Establishes eligibility for federal financing options such as WIA. Your course material was reviewed and approved and is held to a higher standard. Periodic review means your course material is current. It looks better to potential employers.
