Global Master in Management (MIM) Survey 2013 What are Master in Management (MIM) programs? Where are they offered and who is the typical MIM student? What are the costs and which career impact do these programs have? The Global Master in Management (MIM) Survey 2013 is the first survey to answer these questions. Unlike rankings, it aggregates data and provides an overview of an emerging field of management education. The survey was conducted by the Master in Management Compass Internet platform and can be downloaded free of charge at www.mim-compass.com/survey PART I PART II Overview of 623 Masters in Manage- ment and Business worldwide. Data collected from business school websites over a three-year period. In-depth analysis of 45 MIM full-time programs from 29 countries. The data stems from an online survey of busi- ness schools conducted from January to May 2013. Main findings WHAT ARE MIM PROGRAMS? WHO ARE WHAT'S THEIR MIM PROGRAMS FOR? CAREER IMPACT? A general management program for recent graduates One quarter of the full-time MIM students has no professional experience at all and three quarters have no more than one year. On average, they are 23 years old and in some programs the average age is as low as 20. Thus, MIM programs target recent graduates and professionals with little work experience. MIM graduates are wanted: 86 percent of the full-time MIM graduates find a job within three months of gradu- ating.
