PERSONAL DEBT IN THE UK Statistics published By ComRes in 'Personal Debt Snapshot showed that out of 2,007 people polled. 42% OF ADULTS IN THE UK ARE WORRIED ABOUT DEBT WHAT'S PUSHING PEOPLE INTO DEBT? 333 1,126 people polled, held the following events responsible for pushing them into debt. 37% RISING COST OF LIVING EDUCATIONAL FEES 2% AND EXPENSES 15% LOSS OF EMPLOYMENT 2% HEALTH/ILLNESS 13% NON-ESSENTIAL SPENDING REDUCED WORKING HOURS 1% /SINGLE INCOME CHANGE OF RELATIONSHIP 9% STATUS 15% OTHER 6% PAYING FOR CHILDCARE WHAT DEBTS CAUSE THE MOST WORRY? 1,292 people polled were worried about the following debts.
