MANIFESTO FOR THE ROLE OF CHAIRPERSON, ISBAA AAKASH SHAH SOMETHING ABOUT ME 10 YEARS SINCE I GRADUATED FROM ISB, A PLACE I BELIEVE TO BE MY SECOND Elected as the Panel Convenor of the Agriculture Machinery panel at the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC India) in 2015 HOME. IT'S TIME TO GIVE BACK... Worked to set up Nipha's (family business) farm machinery manufacturing and marketing business in 2009 Worked as Business Development Director at CognitiveArts, Chicago from 2006-2008 Graduated from the ISB in 2006 PAST ASSOCIATION WITH THE ISBAA AND ISB AS A STUDENT OF THE ISB Recognized with the ISB Torch Bearer award Events Coordinator, Clubs & Social Council Lead Coordinator – Ikshaa (Marketing Conclave) 2005 Member of the core team that organized Solstice 2005 Member of the core team that organized Poseidon 2005 Member of the core team that organized ILS 2005 Core team member of Net Impact Club AS AN ALUM Been interviewing applicants to the ISB PGP program for the last 10 years Mentored over 40 prospective candidates who wished to apply to the ISB PGP program Regular interaction with ISB PGP students through avenues like being a panelist for TiE ISB conference, as a recruiter and for orientation week etc. Spearheaded the ISB FT 20 ranking celebrations in New York in 2008. Over 80 alumni, 10 visiting and resident faculty, 5 Board Members, the ISB Dean, the ISB Chairman and the Consul General of India, New York attended the event Was elected as Director Chapter Liaison, ISBAA from 2008-2010 Member of the Alumni Fund Raising Committee representing Class of 2006 TOP 3 CONCERNS AND/OR ASPIRATIONS FOR ISB'S ALUMS MEANINGFUL ABILITY TO NETWORKING LIFELONG INFLUENCE / CONTRIBUTE OPPORTUNITIES LEARNING TO THE LONG TERM VISION INTERVENTIONS OF THE SCHOOL MY VISION FOR THE ISB ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SENATE ISB MOHALI My yardstick of success for the Senate is the increase in percentage of alumni that get involved/engaged with the ISBAA & ISB (equally across both campuses) during the Senate's term. ISB HYDERABAD I SET THIS GOAL AT 25%!! ENGAGEMENT DRIVERS Professional networking opportunities through Special Interest Groups Social networking at the city level to be invigorated A DEDICATED TEAM WORKING Provide a feedback platform for the alumni FULL TIME FOR THE ISBAA AND REPORTING TO THE SENATE Leverage technology to stay truly connected WILL PROVIDE THE REQUIRED Fund raising from Alumni towards the School STEAM TO PERFORM AND SUCCEED!
