LEGAL SALARY SURVEY 2013 EDITION The information illustrated in this infographic has been gathered from an online survey of over 500 respondents, as well as data from an extensive database of candidates. The analysis has been complimented with expert knowledge of the Sellick Partnership senior management team to provide input on salaries, market trends, flexible working and benefits packages. OVERVIEW In the past year, firms in Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham have reasserted themselves as profitable entities following three years of economic woes. Pensions Holidays 16% Flexible Benefits 61% 11 % Bonus 6% BONUS & BENEFITS 3% Healthcare 3% Car Allowance The vast majority of solicitors did not receive a bonus last year, of those that did, 51% 51% said that it was down from the previous year 6% Only 6% of legal professionals recognise bonuses as the most important benefit 61% The vast majority of participants said holiday was the most important benefit This shift in priorities can be attributed to the Generation X and Generation Y 70% factors - a term coined for a whole new breed of workers, representing 70% of the UK workforce.
