A report carried out by the Carbon Trust discovered that: 70% of global business leaders are confident that the combined efforts of consumers, governments and investors will forge the path to a sustainable future 76% of businesses believe that climate change will have a direct impact on their net earnings 84% see a business opportunity in an environmentally sustainable future 50% believe they would have to fundamentally change their products, services and business model in order to drive strong environmental sustainability 99% of those who have compared themselves to competitors on environmental sustainability believe that they are average within their sector Energy consumption in the digital sector... The digital industry is growing at a ferocious rate, as is the amount of energy that its data centres use.
