7 marketing fundamentals every campaign needs

MARKETING 7 FUNDAMENTALS Every Campaign Needs created by http://mauvegroup.co.uk/ #1 Understand influencers Story is key to spreading word of mouth Influencers are important to understand for a marketing campaign Sharing story and content is essentially a social act & could even be described as an act of love. They are the key foundation for any word of mouth campaign. Influencers are people who will be intrinsically motivated to share your content. Vying for their attention can be difficult in a digitally saturated marketplace. #2 Commit to the long- A marketing campaign will not generate leads immediately term Understanding that any marketing campaign is a long- term commitment is essential to its success. Instead, it should be seen as a strategy for continuous audience engagement. It's important to remember that marketing is not advertising Evaluating and iterating are essential to any long- term campaign. Marketing is, fundamentally about bringing buyers and sellers and this is a long-term endeavour. #3 Understand the significance of social media Social media provides a foundation of data on which to build a campaign. Social media is essential for consumer insight and product development Social media allows for direct engagement with target communities. Social media has completely changed PR and marketing Social media can put employees on the front line and encourage creativity in ways other marketing tools can't. 8+ Social media is at the core of any business's reputation management # 4 E-mail marketing isn't dead E-mail marketing has been proven to have more organic outreach potential than its social media counterpart. With social media on the ascendancy, it's tempting to write off e-mail marketing. The best e-mail marketing campaigns use three types of strategy: context, content and conversation. They should be informative, be a soft sell and mobilise consumers by starting a conversation. However, plenty of commentators agree that there is still room for innovation in e-mail marketing Follow up is also important for an e-mail marketing campaign, as is tailoring your campaign to a customer's behaviour and their willingness to buy again. E-mail marketing may in fact yield a better return for your marketing budget. #5 Construct a brand narrative Constructing a narrative is essentially about articulating what you want consumers to believe. Do all employees and customers know what your brand stands for? The best marketing campaigns are open and inclusive, and don't talk about their competitors; instead they offer a positive vision for their customers. A brand narrative establishes who you are, and why anyone should care. Your brand narrative should reach out to those people we discussed in Point #1- your influencers. A brand narrative should connect your brand with a customer's needs. #6 Strategy is everything Any marketing strategy that does not think about its target audience will fail. Your campaign wll need a consistent strategy that everyone on your team is on board with. The channels of execution and the budget are two of the key tenets of any marketing campaign. Your strategy will need to be planned before you begin. Your brand narrative should reach out to those people we discussed in Point #1- your influencers. Strategies that which are not coherent will, understandably, fall apart at the first hurdle. #7 Visual-based campaigns are more likely to have an emotional connotation. Incorporate visual content The digital age is increasingly a visual one Visual-based campaigns are more likely to have relevance and have a stronger core message Marketing campaigns are ever more dependent on eye-catching visuals Visual-based campaigns are more likely to foster familiarity and awareness 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual in nature.
