.Gorky Donetsk Medical Institute. Later on, after the Second World War, it was renamed as Stalino Medical Institute and then many more names were conferred to the institute with a great history, year by year. Then finally after getting the university status in 1994 and the National medical university status in 2008, University’s name again changed to Donetsk National Medical University.
