t business and how it impacts economies, society and the environment. It is based on the following key pillars: Our markets – how we interact and impact the sustainability of economies and markets. Our people – how we engage with our employees. Environment – how our operations impact the environment. Communities – how we integrate with the communities where we operate. --- WE ENGAGE ACTIVELY WITH OUR KEY STAKEHOLDERS AND ENABLE TRUST BY SETTING THE HIGHEST ETHICAL AND INTEGRITY STANDARDS. We engage actively with our key stakeholders and collaborate with our customers to minimise the environmental impact of our products. We responsibly pioneer new and environmentally friendly technologies. We support our customers to conduct Product Lifecycle Assessments: from the selection of raw materials to the use and final disposal of our customer’s products. We enable trust by setting an example of the highest ethical and integrity standards in our marketplace, acting in a spirit of respectful entrepreneurship. SICPA Security Inks and Solutions is a founding and accredited member of the Banknote Ethics Initiative (BnEI). --- WE NURTURE A WORKING ENVIRONMENT BASED ON TRUST, KNOWLEDGE, INTEGRITY AND INNOVATION. Our working environment strives to promote knowledge and encourage innovation. This is reflected in the diversity of our organisation with over 50 nationalities and nearly 60 professional and technical competencies. We invest in our peoples’ development, through a range of professional and managerial training opportunities, with programmes adapted to meet different company and personal needs. The health and safety of our employees and the communities in which we operate is paramount to the long-term sustainability of our business. In addition to having rigorous health and safety processes as part of our OHSAS 18001 certification, we provide training to our employees on occupational hazards and professional safety. --- WE STRIVE TO INCREASE OUR RESOURCE EFFICIENCY BY OPTIMISING CONSTANTLY OUR OPERATIONS. In our production facilities, we strive to increase resource efficiency, e.g. minimise water and energy consumption and optimise waste generation. We have stringent hazardous waste disposal processes as part of our ISO 14001 certification and we work constantly to reduce it. We aim to go beyond the traditional ways of recycling, for example, we donate wood pallets for improvised house building materials. --- WE ENGAGE CONSTANTLY WITH THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH WE OPERATE. We engage on a long term basis with the communities in which we operate. We participate in a broad range of cultural, educational, environmental and disaster relief projects. Our employees contribute in-kind to local social and community initiatives. We are proud to work closely with universities and research centres. SICPA is a sponsor of the EPFL Rolex Learning Centre in Lausanne, Switzerland, and the SICPA Foundation established by the late Albert Amon provides substantial financial support to medical internships. --- OUR POLICIES PROMOTE ETHICAL BEHAVIOUR AND SUSTAINABILITY IN THE WAY WE CONDUCT BUSINESS. Our policies set standards for our employees, partners, suppliers, and customers in respect of expected behaviour. Specific policies on anti-corruption and fair competition have been promulgated to provide clear guidance of the corporate expectations. We strive to set an example of the highest ethical and integrity standard in our marketplace, acting in a spirit of respectful entrepreneurship. There are three Corporate Principles which are particularly relevant to our Corporate Social Responsibility: Code of Business Conduct Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy Competition Law Policy Group policies and guidelines include Human Resources, Health and Safety, Security, Environment and Procurement policies which also form part of the overall CSR.
