Valley of flowers, as the name suggests is a valley of alluring flowers and some mesmerizing views. An Indian national park, the valley of flowers is located in the state of Uttarakhand at 3658 meters...
above sea level. It has been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO on July 14, 2004. Being a world heritage site has also attracted many eyes. A magical and majestic valley with some of the rare fauna, flora, and flowers is one of the most popular treks in the Himalayas. The pleasant landscape of the valley of flowers complements the rocky mountains of Nanda Devi and Pithoragarh. Apart from being a world heritage site and a great place for tourists, it has some interesting ancient history as well. It is believed that Lord Hanuman had collected Sanjivani from the valley of flowers to cure Lord Laxman who got injured during the battle of Ramayana. The Valley of flowers is covered with snow for most time of the year. The official opening date for tourists is June 1 every year but the beautiful valley did not see any tourists in 2020 due to the pandemic.
