Theme Parks in Japan

TheME rki in (1) Tokyo Disney Sea Tokyo DisneySea is a fantasy theme park in Tokyo Disney Resort that is unique to Japan. Inspired by the myths and legends of the sea, Tokyo DisneySea is made up of seven themed ports of call: Mediterranean Harbor, Mystery Island, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Port Dis- covery and American Waterfront. (2) Tokyo Diseyland Tokyo Disneyland is the most visited theme park in Japan. It is based on the films produced by Walt Disney, and is made up of seven themed lands. The theme park is very similar to the original Disneyland Park in California. (3) UNIVERSA Universal Studios This is the first theme park under the Universal Studios brand to be built in Asia, featuring famous rides based on popular movies such as Spiderman, Back to the Future, Ter- minator 2 and Jurassic Park. Mascots of popular characters such as Snoopy and Hello Kitty greet visitors. (4) 灣 Nagashima Resort Nagashima Resort is a major vacation destination just outside Nagoya. It comprises of four main leisure facilities: the Nagashima Spaland amusement park, a hot spring complex, an outlet shopping mall and a flower park named Nabana no Sato. The resort is located on a long piece of land that is surrounded by rivers and the sea; fittingly thus, it is called Nagashima or "long island". (5) Fuji Q Highland Fuji-Q Highland is a major amusement park located in the Fují Five Lakes region at the foot of Mount Fuji. One of Japan's most popular theme parks, Fuji-Q Highland is best known for its thrill- ing, record holding roller coasters and elaborate, anime themed rides and attractions. The park strives to be at the forefront of theme park entertainment, and to that end is constantly opening new rides and attractions, including a new Guinness World Record breaking roller coaster approximately every five years. (6) Spa Resort Hawaiian Spa Resort Hawaiians is a one-stop water park, onsen and entertainment facility with a Hawaiian theme. It is located in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, and was formerly known as Joban Hawaiian Center. Inaugurated in 1966, it was the first theme park to be built in Japan. Over the years, the resort had been upgraded to meet with times, and it is still today a highly visited destination. (7) Meiji Mura Meiji Mura (Meiji Village) is one of Japan's several outstand- ing open air museums, displaying over sixty buildings from the Meiji Period (1868-1912). This era followed the end of Japan's feudal age, and its architecture is characterized by a strong influx of Western architecture.
