Out and About in BALTIMORE BALTIMORE • Founded in 1729 • Population: 620,961 Parks PATTERSON PARK Patterson Park is one of the oldest parks in Baltimore, spanning 300 years of the city's spirited history. 1 The Pagoda, also known as the Patterson Park Observatory, offers a great view of the city. 2 The sports fields are open for use to anyone who wants to play a game, and there are public tennis courts as well. 3 Two playgrounds include a swimming pool open during summer, and a skating rink during winter.
