Famous Tourist Destinations in LADAKH BASGO HEMIS MONASTERY KH Basgo is situated 80 km west of Leh. It used to be the capital of lower Ladakh the kingdom united at Leh. PANGONG LAKE KORZOK VILLAGE Pangong Lake is situated at an altitude of 4242 The word Korzok means center of the mountain or meters, towards the east of Leh. The lake is the center of the body. This is a really big village com- pared to the rest in Ladakh. It is around the Tso- biggest in the Himalaya which spreads over some 130 km long and about 2 to 6 km wide. India has only one-fourth of the lake while the rest falls moririr Lake which is an important tourist spot for the visitors of this lake.
