Oil Change Changing your cars oil is important to the life of the vehicle. Most people be- lieve that oil should be changed every 3,000 miles. More modern cars can go 5,000 to 7,000 miles between oil changes. Check your owners manual to find out what the suggested routine is for your vehicle. Wiper Blades Be sure that your wiper blades completely clear the glass after each swipe. You should also check the windshield washer reservoir to ensure that it is full. Tires You should check your tire pressure on all four tires AND the spare. Use a good quality gauge and be sure to check when the tires are cold. When checking the pressure look at the recommended pressure on the driver side door jamb, NOT the tire wall. Battery When inspecting the battery cable connections make sure that they are tight and free of corrosion. If the battery is over three years old it is a good idea to have it tested.
