From Toyota AE86 to Toyota 86 Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ
Toyota 868 Past & Present 1983-1987: The AE86 generation of the Toyota Corolla Levin was introduced as a fifth generation Corolla. The "A" denotes the engine in the car, "E" stands for Corolla, "8" as fifth genera- tion, and "6" as the variation in the generation. It was a rear wheel drive Charg Spend and one of the last ones of its kind because many cars were switched over to front wheel drive. Toyota 86 2011: The car has an alumi- num hood, trunk, and solid roof as opposed to a hatchback. The 86 is inspired by the older AE86 so it has rear- wheel drive configuration and front mounted boxer engine. Its sleekness imi- tates Toyota 200OGT low profile. Toyota 86 is only available in Japan with four MIDELLISTA trim levels offered. The most base level, RC, has unpainted bumpers, no stereo, or air conditioning. Subaru BRZ: The BRZ's grill is different from the Toyota 86's grill as the BRZ has a hex- agonal shaped grill versus the trapezoidal shape in the Toyota 86. The BRZ also offers a base trim with minimal comforts, much like the Toyota 86. The only difference is that the BRZ's bumpers are painted the same color as the rest of the body. Scion FR-S: The FR-S is only available in the US and Canada. It is unlike the Toyota 86 and the Subaru BRZ because it has no trim levels. However, some higher elements of the Toyota 86 are still offered as trim levels. Car spec and info are based on WIKI
