KEEP THE SOUTH WEST SAFE THIS CHRISTMAS... DON'T DRINK & DRIVE. Bristel Cho In 2013, the number of fatalities in the South West has reduced by 275% since 1993* *figures based on breath tests following an accident. These do not include fatalities of 1,030 drivers over the limit. 80% people were killed seriously injured slightly injured 80% of drink driving in the South West due to fatalities in the drink driving in 2012. Despite this guidance, there's foolproof way of drinking and staying under the limit because alcohol affects each individual DIFFERENTLY. REMEMBER: You may still be over the limit the following morning. ANYONE CAUGHT OVER THE LEGAL ALCOHOL LIMIT WHEN DRIVING WILL BE: FINED UP TO £5,000 BANNED FROM DRIVING FOR ATLEAST 12 MONTHS ON TOP OF THIS, YOU COULD BE: GIVEN BETWEEN 3 TO 11 PENALTY DRIVING POINTS SENT TO PRISON FOR UP TO 6 MONTHS STAY SAFE THIS HOLIDAY PERIOD.
