The foil stamping is mainly used in a romantic wedding card or in casual invites. Foil stamping is a more expensive printing process than Foil Stamping others. 31 Engraving The letters are raised on the front and sifted on the back of the invite. Engraving is ideal for an ultra formal affair. Some of the most known examples are ENGRAVING engraved on the jewellery, metal, plastic, etc. Thermography4 Thermography is virtually similar to the engraving, except that the letter is somewhat shiny and its back of the invitation remains smooth. This will use GRAPHICS ink as well as powder which are heated and fused to create raised lettering. 5 Letterpress The letters are moving up to the front and slightly raised on the back of the invite. The look of it is textual and sophisticated. It is mainly used for traditional designs. Silkscreening Screen Printing The screen printing or silk screeningprocess involves a design being laid on the top of the screen which is coated with photo emulsion and exposed to light. Then the photo emulsion is exposed hardens and the rest can be washed away leaving a stencil of sorts that ink can be pulled through using a squeegee. The silk screening is used for making posters and for printing ontofabric, t-shirts, and other promotional materials. 7 Flexography Flexography is traditionally used to print labels. The packaging industry is primarily using flexography. A rubber stamp is wrapped around a cylinder which rotates and picks up ink from a reservoir then presses it into the printing material. Inkjet Printing 8 Inkjet printing is the most common solution for small print and available to the public at an affordable rate. It normally sprays ink onto the paper. It uses the CMYK process and can produce richly saturated colours on a variety of material. O Digital Printing Digital printing offers the highest quality prints. So you will not have any kind of problem like fading or smudging of the print. There are several ways to do digital printing by printers like inkjet printer, laser and toner printer and magnetic digital printers. Offset Printing10 The offset printing is very similar to the digital printing, but the quality is higher and is also expensive. The letters and designs are flat. It is a great budget friendly process working with casual designs. It is also called as offset lithography.
