STEVE RIDER: 5 WAYS I WOULD IMPROVE FORMULA 1 After 35 years of reporting from the track, sports broadcaster Steve Rider knows a thing or two about Formula 1. In his new book, he mentions five ways it could be improved to offer a better experience for both fans and teams alike. Do you agree with Steve? 01 MORE OVERTAKING WHY? Allow cars to follow each other more closely by reducing aerodynamic downforce levels, revise regulations on brakes to extend braking distances, and encourage the inclusion of more potential for overtaking when designing new circuits. Reduce the number of races on the calendar and focus on well-loved historic venues like Spa, Monaco, Monza and Silverstone.
