It promises to be a fascinating encounter, with both sides having enjoyed similar starts to the Premiership season. As several thousand Arsenal fans prepare to make the long journey west from London, we here at Europcar decided to give them a helping hand by creating this helpful guide detailing the best travel route, parking options and amenities near the stadium. We've also included the most important head-to-head stats between the sides; perfect for a bit of road trip trivia. GETTING THERE The 193 mile journey from London to Swansea is the fourth longest away trip of the season for Arsenal fans. It's still some way off the roughly 273 driving miles to Newcastle, and considerably longer than the Gunner's shortest away journey of the season – the 4.6 miles to London rivals, Tottenham. SWANSEA TOTTENHAM NEWCASTLE BEST ROUTE TIME AND MONEY PARKING Using the Emirates Stadium as a starting point, the quickest route is to head west on the A5203 before connecting with the M4. There are no parking options available directly outside the Liberty Stadium. Depending on traffic and road conditions, the journey time by road should be between 3.5 and 4 hours. Park at the Felindre Park and Ride just off the M4, or head towards the city centre where several options exist: Pentrehafod School Park and walk, The Recreation Ground Park and Ride. Staying on the M4 will take you to the outskirts of Swansea, where you can exit onto the A4067 at junction 45 and continue south to the Liberty Stadium. Estimated fuel cost is between £30 and £40. REFRESHMENTS ALONG THE M4 CITY CENTRE NEAR STADIUM Memsbury Services: Between Exits 14 and 15. If you find yourself with a few hours to spare before kick-off, make your way to Wind Street in the city centre for a wide choice of bars, restaurants and cafes. The Morfa Shopping Park is just outside the Liberty Stadium and features several food outlets; Frankie & Benny's, KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks and Harvester. Magor Services: Exit 23A from M4. Cardiff West Services: Exit at Junction 33. CLUB HONOURS ARSENAL SWANSEA The Gunners have 13 English league titles to their name, as well as 11 FA Cups, two League Cups and two European trophies. Their last piece of silverware came in May 2014, when they beat Hull City 3-2 to lift the FA Cup. The Swans have won four lower-league English titles, as well as two Football League Trophies. In 2013, they beat Bradford City 5-0 to win their first ever League Cup trophy.
