Golf Etiquette When Visiting a Country Club
GOLF ETIQUETTE When Visiting a Country Club It's important that guest golfers at country clubs have proper etiquette on the course as well as in the club house. We've got some etiquette advice to help you fit in and make the most of your visit. 1 Preparation Before getting to the country club, make sure that you have checked with an official or the member who is sponsoring you to make sure you understand club policies such as: Tipping - Is it prohibited or encouraged? Dress Code - What type of clothing is required and what is banned? • Payment - Is cash accepted or is card the only form of payment? Arrival 2 When you arrive, make sure to do the following: Use the locker room - Don't change your shoes in the parking lot. Tips - Make sure to tip attendants if club policy permits it. • Gates - Make sure you know how to get in if it is a gated club. 3 During Play Respect the course - Rake the sand, pick up your trash, and keep the green clean. • Respect the players - Play at a reasonable pace and don't distract other players. If you'd rather run a country club than visit one, think about getting a degree in golf management at Keiser University College of Golf and Sport Management and pursuing a career in golf course management.
