Float Like A Butterfly?

Н A HUFFINGTON POST GRAPHIC Float Like A Butterfly? In a 1966 interview, Muhammad Ali bragged that he would journey to Mars and become heavyweight champ on the Red Planet as he had done on Earth. It was an idle boast, of course. Decades have passed, and still no one has set foot on Mars. But for astronomy-minded folks, Ali's playful words raise an interesting question: if the boxer's fighting weight on Earth in 1966 was 213.5 pounds, what would it have been on Mars...and on other planets? It all comes down to a matter of mass: Ali would have weighed less on Mars and other planets less massive than Earth...and more on more massive planets. Of course, this isn't meant to suggest that it's actually possible to survive on other planets (or even stand on some). But as Ali once said, "The man who has no imagination has no wings.
