BENEFITS OF RUNNING Running, like all forms of regular exercise, can effectively slow or reverse the effects of aging. It is said that running is 90% mental, and the rest is physical. Running for 45mins to an hour can decrease both systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings by 10-12mgs. The U.S. Department of Health advises adults to get at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise each week, for an average of about 21 minutes a day.
