Base limited warranty terms only cover the HVAC parts that were broken during the manufacturing process. Trane's base limited warranty duration may vary from product to product. Some eligible for 5 years base limited warranty and others ensure 10 years or 20 years warranty period. TRANE REGISTERED LIMITED WARRANTY The registered limited warranty covers all sorts of Trane products, including heat exchangers, heat pumps, air handlers, air cleaners, and other HVAC products offered by a Trane dealer/comfort specialist. Register the limited warranty via phone or online. To get the warranty registered limited, homeowners will need the serial number and model number of their Trane product. REGISTERED LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD The warranty registered limited period is only 60 days. During the registered limited warranty period, you'll be able to get all the services and repairs for free of cost. However, this registered limited warranty doesn't allow any warranty transfer. After the registered limited warranty period ends, your Trane product warranty will shift to the base limited, and it'll allow you the warranty transfer. TRANE EXTENDED WARRANTY When customers buy an optional extended warranty, they won't have to register their equipment such as internal functional parts furnaces or outdoor compressor coil. However, they will have to buy the optional extended warranty within the first 60 days. Otherwise, they will have to register for their parts (heat system or furnace) along with the optional extended warranty.
