Whatever these main ideas are, list them out in order of importance or relevance. VISUAL REPRESENTATIONS Once you've outlined your main ideas or major points of your post, it's time to start brainstorming! Next to each main idea, list or brain dump anything that may be able to visually represent each point. DECIDE ON A LAYOUT There are tons of ways you can layout your infographic: structured, free flowing, sectioned off into shapes, etc. Decide which layout is best for you and which will fit best in the designated size you plan on using. GATHER INSPIRATION Go Pinterest crazy and get tons of ideas for how others have laid out their infographcics. Other great places to get inspiration are Dribbble and Behance. KEEP IT SIMPLE I recommend keeping your infographic as simple as possible. Don't overthink or over do it. Simplicity saves you time, looks cleaner, and is easier to read and understand from a viewers perspective. SKETCΗ Combine your written outline, visual representations and ideal layout ideas into a complete sketch. I recommend doing this before you take your design to the computer so that you can think through your ideas before you actually start designing.
