THE JOURNEY OF YOUR online order BUY You finally decide to buy that item you have been wanting for months; you enter your information and check out. The journey begins! A unique order ID is made for your order. The company receives your order to their database. An order picker is sent out to retrieve your item along with other orders. The picker retrieves the item, then scans the barcode against the order ID to verify the pick. Your item is boxed up by an operator. After the box is taped it is sent through a highway of 5 conveyor systems to the correct destination. As it goes through the conveyor system, the box is automatically re-scanned, weighed, and dimensioned in preparation for a flight or road trip. A shipping label is applied as the box rides past the automatic labeler.
