BLOCK VALVE BLOCK VALVE BLEED FLANGE PROCESS FLUID DRAIN VALVE HOW IT WORKS A Double Block & Bleed valve is used to stop 1 process fluid from getting into an area where work is being done. 2 Both In-line valves are closed. The Bleed Flange is then opened. Fluid/Steam is drained once both valves are closed 3 to ensure safe working on the non pressure side of the system. APPLICATIONS Double Block & Bleed valves are used in situations where critical isolation is needed to ensure that leakage does not occur.
