The Christmas Proclamation: The same Greek word is translated, I bring you good tidings of great joy... (the angel, Lk. 2.10), and I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God (Jesus, Lk. 4.43). The root word is "euangelizo" -literally, "evangelize." JESUS' BIRTH & Heaven is PROCLAMATION coming to earth and taking over! The birth of the baby is such good news because it is the first evidence that the proclamation is already coming true.
