NEXUS Vehicle Rental NEXUS' GLOVEBOX GUIDE AVOIDING ULEZ FINES London was the first city to introduce an Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) on 8 April 2019 and it currently operates 24 hours a day. CHARGES In the first month alone, Transport for London (TFL) accrued an estimated £220,000 per day in charges equating to around 17,400 drivers each day. STANDARDS Drivers entering this zone must ensure their vehicle meets the following standards before entering: Euro 4 for petrol cars and vans (less than 14 years old in 2019) Euro 6 for diesel cars (less than five years old in 2019) • Euro 6 for vans (less than four years old in 2019) • Euro 3 for motorcycles Euro VI for lorries, buses and coaches NONE COMPLIANCE Vehicles that don't comply with these regulations face a £12.50 daily charge £100 penalty for lorry and coach drivers or a EXEMPTIONS Exemptions include: • Residents who are registered for the residents' Congestion Charge discount (until 24 0ctober 2021) Designated wheelchair-accessible private hire vehicles (until 26 October 2025) • Disabled drivers (until 26 October 2025) • Agricultural vehicles • Certain highway vehicles and mobile cranes • Military vehicles See the full guide at: www.nexusrental/glove-box-guides Contact Nexus today: www.nexusrental.co.uk in
