The 5 Safest Cities In 2015 1. Murrieta, CA MURRIETA, CA Murrieta, CA is a southwestern city in the county of Riverside in California; Population- 103,466 (2010). Also in 2010, Murrieta saw a 133.7% population increase, naming it one of the fastest growing cities in the state of California. Although a smaller city, Murrietas' population increase surpassed that of one of the larger cities in California, known as Temecula. Temecula and Murrieta, together, form the southwestern "anchor" of the Inland Empire. Mostly residential, Murrieta is typically known as a commuter town as many of its residents traveling to jobs in places such as San Diego County, Los Angeles County. Temecula, Orange County, and Camp Pendleton. Murrieta is in the middle of Temecula (south) and the newly constructed cities of Menifee and Wildomar (north). 2. Temecula, CA TEMECULA, CA Temecula is also a city in Riverside County, with a population of 106,780 (2013). Temecula is in between the cities of Murrieta (north) and the Pechanga Indian Preserve as well as San Diego County (south). Like, Murrieta, Temecula also helps form the "anchor" of the Inland Empire. The city is a major spot for tourists with the Temecula Valley, Wine Country, Old Town Temecula, the Temecula Valley Polo Club and the Temecula Valley International Film Festival. Other than the tourism in Temecula, the education, healthcare, leisure, professional and finance, all contribute to the city's economy as well. 3. Frisco, TX FRISCO, TX Frisco is a city takes over the counties of Collin and Denton. Frisco is approximately 25 minutes from the Dallas Love Field and the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. With major highways north, south, east and west, Frisco is well-placed on the path of growth in the Dallas area. In February 2015, the city had a population estimated at 145,900. In 2009, it was considered the fastest growing city in the United States of America, as well as the fast growing city in the nation from 2000 to 2009. Ever since 2003, Frisco has received the recognition as "Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Foundation. In 2007, Forbes named Frisco the seventh- fastest growing city in the U.S. In 2011, CNN named Frisco one of the "Best Places to Live" in our nation, and Forbes ranked it 7th on its list of "America's 25 Best Places To Move". 4. Cary, NC CARY, NC Cary is the seventh largest city with corporate status in North Carolina. Cary is in Wake and Chatham counties, although mostly in Wake County. The town's population was 135,234 in 2010, making it the largest in the state of North Carolina. The U.S. Census Bureau estimated the town's population to be 151,088 as of early July 2013. Cary is currently the second most populated town in the United States, just behind Gilbert, Arizona. Cary was the 5th fastest growing municipality in the U.S, according to the US Census Bureau. Due to its extremely low crime rate, Cary is often considered one of the safest cities in the US. 5. Naperville, IL NAPERVILLE, IL Naperville is a suburb of Chicago, spreading throughout DuPage and Will counties. Voted by Money Magazine in 2006, Naperville was voted the second-best place to live in the United States. According to Kiplinger in 2013, Naperville was rated #1 on their list of best cities for early retirement. A study in 2010, named Naperville the wealthiest city in the Midwest as well as eleventh in the nation having a population over 75,000. As of the 2010, the city had a population of 141,853, which was estimated to have increased to 144,864 by July 2013. Naperville is the fifth-largest city in Illinois, followed by Rockford, Joliet, Chicago and Aurora. Approximately 95,000 residents of Naperville live on the DuPage County side, while around 50,000 reside on the Will County side.
