2012 United States and Canada Atlas. Household Moving Migration Patterns go new places: The annual Atlas Van Lines Migration Patterns study provides a snapshot of relocation patterns. The 2012 study used for the data below shows the Southwestern and Mid-Atlantic coastal states remain as the most popular destinations, while the Midwest becomes more balanced. Shipments noted for Canada are cross- border to the United States or from the United States (not inter-provincial).
