MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT The Memorial Tournament is a PGA Tour golf tournament founded by Jack Nicklaus and played over Memorial Day weekend. It is played on a Nicklaus-designed course at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL DAY PARADE The National Memorial Day Parade, presented by the American Veterans Center, is held annually in Washington DC, and is an opportunity for thou- sands of patriotic Americans to come together and honor those who have sacrificed so much in service to our country. i CHICAGO MEMORIAL DAY PARADE NM Check out one of the largest Memorial Day parades in the nation. Fredianelli is a National Guard veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and subject of the documentary "Where Soldiers Come From," which will be screened on Saturday. This year, the Grand Marshal of the parade will be Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett. The Memorial Day Parade will begin at 2pm at Lefever Street in Gettysburg and head northeast to Middle Street; turn west on East Middle Street and south on Baltimore Street to the Soldiers' National Cemetery. THE VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL The Vietnam Veterans Memorial honors U.S. service members who fought in the Vietnam War, service members who died in service in Vietnam/South East Asia, and those service members who were unaccounted for (Missing In Action) during the War. The main part of the memorial is the Memorial Wall, which was completed in 1982 and is in the Constitution adjacent to the Mall. Gardens National WORLD WAR II MEMORIAL The World War II Memorial honors the 16 million who served in the armed forces of the U.S., the more than 400,000 who died, and all who supported the war effort from home. Symbolic of the defin- ing event of the 20th Century, the memorial is a monument to the spirit, sacrifice, and commitment of the American people.
