Santa's Supercharged Sleigh!

Santa's Supercharged Sleigh He may only work one day a year, but nobody works harder in 24 hours than Santa. Forget the working time directive, Saint Nick has a job to do and there's no breaks allowed if all the children of the world are to be kept happy. But can he really do it all in a wooden sleigh pulled by eight reindeer? We think not. Here's Santa's tricked out ride Supersonic Sleigh The speed at which Santa must travel is reckoned to be between 650 miles a second and 1,800 miles a second. A space rocket travels at just under five miles a second. 00 Reindeers and rocket fuel are out and replaced by some kind of space warp technology. RUDOLPH Built for Speed When you're travelling this fast, wood isn't going to last. Huge pressures on the sleigh mean it would have to be made from a durable titanium alloy. The Naughty List The Naughty List To save trees (and space) Santa's naughty list is displayed on a monitor as a real time feed pulled from social media. This way he's always up to date. The Grinch Ebenezer Scrooge Hans Gruber SSN Marv & Harry Sata SN Mr Oogie Boogie Santa Sat Nav He's getting on in years, so remembering all the stops is tricky. Luckily Mrs Claus preloads the route onto the sleigh's sat nav. A Santa's Little Helper He can't stop for delivery, but he's going to need a break to have a drink and nip to the loo. Luckily an autopilot system can keep him on his route while he takes five. White (Hot) Christmas To stop everything erupting into a ball of flame, a combination of reinforced ceramic tiles like those used on the space shuttle keep the sleigh cool. Festive Facilities It's thirsty work delivering all those presents. A water cooler and coffee machine are a must. Plus a toilet. 00 Through The Wormhole It's estimated that Santa's sleigh would be hauling well over 1,000,000 metric tons of presents. To save space his sack would need to contain a wormhole to the North Pole depot where tireless elves will hurl the presents through just before delivery. Precision Delivery Santa has millions and millions of houses to visit in 24 hours. Stopping to scramble over roofs and down chimneys is not an option. A military spec satellite guidance system delivers the parcels as he zooms overhead.
