QUICK START TO HUMANITARIAN MAPPING Learn to Map, Be Prepared 1 CREATE OSM ACCOUNT Go to the OpenStreetMap website and register to create an account. (Link: www.openstreetmap.org) 2 CREATE TM ACCOUNT Go to the HOT Tasking Manager website and sign- up with your OSM account. (Link: tasks.hotosm.org) EXPLORE PROJECTS On the HOT Tasking Manager website, go to Explore Tasks and select a project that is set to Beginner for Difficulty Level. 4 SELECT A TASK On the project page, select Contribute. Then, read the instructions, select a white square, and click Map Selected Task. MAP SELECTED TASK If completely new to OpenStreetMap, complete idEditor Walkthrough. Then, follow the instructions and map selected task. %23 SAVE WITH HASHTAG Save your edits with the #qsgmapathon hashtag. If your organization has hashtags, include those as well.
