Tips on Creating a Logo

TIPS ON CREATING A LOGO Logos serve as an identity for a person, company, business, organization, or even a cause. Branding is very important and is a crucial step that could already decide or predict whether a business will be successful or not. Understand the Brand and #1 Embody the Objectives Know the brand and its purpose in the society Every brand has a story It's not only about the looks but also the meaning and story behind it Do Your Own #2 Research Practice the habit of researching Research about the client or the company It could make your work easier and provide some inspiration and ideas #3 Start From Sketch Create at least 3 logo studies on paper It does not have to be initially perfect Let the creative juices flow and gather ideas for the logo It is very important for a designer to get to talk to his or her clients in order to really have the idea or vision of what the client wants for the logo. The customer is always right! What they want is what they should get. #4 Check the Proportions and Emphasis Avoid Over sizing or Under Sizing of Elements Give more emphasis to elements that are of greater importance Check the alignments and even out curves and edges to come up with a smooth finish Keep It Simple and Clean #5 Limit the number of Elements in your Logo Do not over think too much Simple logos tend to be more memorable and easy to recall #6 Wisely Choose Colors Take note of the color meanings Use the color sScheme selected by your client or by the company Limit the number of colors used in the logo, probably around 1 to 3 colors would do One more thing, 'DESIGN' requires planning and time; you shouldn't rush it always, because sometimes rushing a design can lead to a lower satisfaction rate from the clients and we wouldn't want that to happen. Make It Different and Unique, #7 Be Creative! Create a logo that would stand out Make use of your imagination and do Brain storming Think outside of the box but still set some limitations Make It Flexible!
