Salvages are together. Grab both selvage edges and fold them over to the measurement of the leggings at the widest part plus 1". Make sure the fold is the same at the top. middle, and bottom. So for a size 2. 1 folded over the fabric 6 ". (Don't count the printed selvage border as part of your measurements.) Lay the folded leggings with the outside of the leg on the fold of the fabric. So the long straight edge should be on the fold. 5 Pin the leggings carefully down to prevent movement. Cut Add 1 1/2 " at hem Add 1" at waist Add 1/2 " on the inside of leg. Line up inseams on top of each other and pin together. The crotch seam is from waist to waist around the bum. Turn the leggings right side out. 16 17 Hem legs by turning up the bottom edge 1 1/2 " and then rolling 1/2" under. Pin. Stitch hem. Lay original leggings front side up on flat surface. Measure the 18 amount between the top of the front waist band and the top of the back waist band. For a size 2 it is 3/4". Lay the micro fleece leggings with one side up on flat surface. We are going to make this the front by cutting it 3/4" lower (Or whatever you measured) in the center front, then angling it up to the side waist tops. So in the front cut off 3/4" and on side center front cut off 3/8" and on the side waist cut off nothing. 19 Take original leggings and measure the elastic to be the same as the leggings. Use 1/4" or 3/8" elastic. Cut to that length plus 1/2". 20 Overlap the ends of the elastic 1/2" and sew them together into a loop. Fold waist edge down 1/4 " and sew down. Lay elastic inside pants. Fold top of leggings over the elastic with a 3/4 " fold. Sew casing with elastic already inside casing, being careful not to stitch through elastic. Move gathers around casing so you are always sewing on flat material. brother 22 Your micro fleece leggings are complete! You can wear them under leggings or by themselves! Your Fleece 2.
