BACTERIA Pets can cause a royal mess. They shed their hair all year round, shedding more in spring and autumn. PET HAIR Pollen is a major cause of allergies, hay fever in particular.Those with eczema and asthma are affected worse. Pollen is inhaled easily and can travel long distances. POLLEN Enzymes in the feces and exoskeletons of dust mites also cause allergic reactions and asthma. DUST MITES Humans shed around 30,000 40,000 skin cells every hour. This makes one million skin cells per day and 3.6 kg of dead skin a year. Dust mites feed off these skin cells. SKIN FLAKES Feces contains E. coli bacteria which can cause a variety of diseases.
