WHY BCAAS ARE IMPORTANT? WHAT ARE BRANCHED CHAIN AMINO ACIDS: All amino acids other than BCAAS are broken down by liver and then transported to other parts of the body. However, BCAAS are metabolized by muscle and muscle is not a gluconeogenic organ meaning it cannot synthesize glucose.
