This project includes data for the 497 largest cities in America as well as the largest cities in Vermont (Burlington, population 42,417), West Virginia (Charleston, population 51,400), and Wyoming (Cheyenne, population 59,466) to ensure inclusion of cities from all of the states. In instances where multiple cities have the same percentage of current smokers, the city with the larger population is ranked first.
