Tips for Driving a Motorcycle In Traffic
TIPS FOR DRIVING A MOTORCYCLE IN TRAFFIC Stay visible. Never drive in another driver's blind-spot. Watch the car's front wheel, not the driver. Keep your distance from the car ahead of you. Never assume that other motorists are conscious of you and your motorbike. Cover your breaks, just in case a quick reaction is required. Stay either to the left or right of the car in front of you. If a dangerous situation arises, your route to safety will be much more accessible. Assume cars will merge into your lane without warning. Ride in a lower gear so your bike can jump forward quickly, if need be. Robert J.
