SYMPTOMS OF SICKLE CELL ΑΝΕΜΙΑ TIMELINE JAUNDICE Due to excess and rapid rupture of RBCS, the skin loses its pink color and becomes pale in appearance. HEART PALPITATIONS The heart conditions seem to get worst day by day. Heart palpitations are observed in which the heart is felt to race rapidly. ΑΝΕΜΙΑ Blood deficiency occurs as the patient's body is facing damage of red blood cells, followed by the deficiency of oxygen-rich blood in the body. DACTYLITIS The patient experiences swelling across the whole body, especially the hands and the feet faces severe adema. NEUROLOGICAL COMPLICATIONS Due to the severe deficiency of oxygen- rich blood, the patient faces seizures, strokes, and other neurological conditions. ASEPTIC NECROSIS Sickel cell anemia is deemed to cause aseptic necrosis that is the death of portions of bone. It is a serious condition in which the affected areas donot funtion normally. BACTERIAL INFECTIONS The patient faces a lot of bacterial infections due to the severe damage in the spleen due to the deficiency of oxygen-rich blood.
