Flossing .- Instructions. Step #1 Unwind approximately 18 inches of floss, wrapped around two fingers on opposite hands. Wrap the greater part of it around one finger and progressively transfer it to the other finger as you use thefloss. #2 Guide about one inch of floss between your teeth, using your forefinger and thumb. #3 Firmly grasp the floss move it in an up-&-down motion along both surfaces of adjacent teeth. Be sure to slide it beneath your gumline carefully, to remove unseen plaque. # 4 Repeat this up-&-down routine for each of your teeth. Maintain a well-balanced diet, and if possible, limit your intake of sugary foods and beverages. Include nutritious foods which promote good dental health in your diet, such as: cheese, plain yogurt, fruit, and raw vegetables. Make a commitment to visit your dentist for regular checkups and teeth cleaning bian- nually, or every 6 months.
