THE NEED FOR URGENT HIV AND TB TREATMENT IN MYANMAR 120,000 300,000 people living with TB 120,000 people living with HIV/AIDS in need of ARVS NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN MYANMAR LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS WHO NEED LIFESAVING ANTIRETROVIRAL (ARV) MEDICATIONS 75% PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS WITHOUT ACCESS TO ARVS 15,000–20,000 ESTIMATED NUMBER OF PEOPLE LIVING WITH 20% OF PEOPLE LIVING WITH TB IN MYANMAR ARE CO-INFECTED HIV/AIDS WHO DIE ANUALLY WITH HIVAIDS MSF IS CURRENTLY TREATING MORE THAN 23,000 HIV PATIENTS IN MYANMAR, MORE THAN ANY OTHER ACTOR IN THE COUNTRY. 6,000 NEW PATIENTS ARE SCHEDULED TO ENROLL IN 2012.
