Manage Your Emotions Enhance self control and self-soothing- Say STOP aloud when you are feeling impulsive. Self-soothe by deep Breathing, wrapping yourself in a weighted blanket or smelling a scented candle. Notice the temperature, taste, smell. Opposite Action- Doing the opposite action will change the emotion. Eg.- When you're sad, instead of withdrawing, talk to a friend in order to feel better.
