How to Get a Better Night's Sleep
HOW TO GET A BETTER NIGHT'S SLEEP So you can be happier, healthier, and kinder to yourself and the people around you HAVE A REGULARY SCEDULED BEDTIME Most of us probably go to bed later on the weekends but your body has an internal clock and will do best if you stick to scheduled bedtimes. Set a reminder on your phone at the same time every night. AVOID ALCOHOL AND 2 CAFFEINE CLOSE TO BEDTIME Keep out caffeine and alcohol at least two hours before you go to bed and if you can, try to keep your coffee in the morning. MAKE SURE YOU EXERCISE This gives your body energy earlier in the day and makes you tired later in the day. AVOID BLUE LIGHT 4 BEFORE BEDTIME Put away things like phones, computers, and TV in the hour before you go to bed. That light signals to your body that it's daytime and time to be awake which will make it harder to sleep. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR ANXIETY LEVEL If you're very anxious you probably want to do some deep breathing or take a relaxing bath. REDUCE NAPS DURING THE DAY If you take naps during the day it will reduce your ability to sleep at night. It's better to go to bed earlier and get that rest when you're supossed.to.
